 Mathematics
department is in hapaged pure and applied mathematics research and education. In pure
mathematics, we explore exciting current basic problems in most of the major fields. In
applied mathematics, we look for important connections with other disciplines that may
inspire intensity and usefulness of mathematics and may lead to new insights and
applications. Our applied math group focuses on discrete mathematics, numerical methods
and areas of physical and applied mathematics.
The department offers Under Graduate Programme B.Sc., and Research Programmes M.Phil and
Ph.D. Mathematics department has 7 faculty members. At present the enrolled strength of
the mathematics department is around 86 students. The department in association with
experts and industry organizes conferences, seminars, guest lectures, student
development programmes, industrial visits etc., for the benefit of students.
